Happy Easter!!

The kids had such a fun time this year collecting eggs! We threw an Easter party and had fun ourselves hiding hundreds of eggs and letting the kids go find them!! Thanks for all who came!! I'm sure we'll do it again next year! Clearly from the pics, you can see the kids had fun climbing trees and enjoying the treats!!

"Awww, Sweet Daddy"

We had to celebrate Karlie's birthday for a second time because Mike was out of town on her real birthday. Anyway, I just had a cute story to share. The night after her party everyone had gone home and we put the kids to bed. About 45 minutes later, Karlie comes downstairs to say I love you... again. We had to put her to bed several more times and usually she doesn't get out of bed. So Mike said he would lay down in bed with her for a few minutes. So they are laying in her bed and Mike said that she kept saying...."Daddy, I love you. (pause) Daddy, you are the best daddy ever. (pause) You are my best friend. (pause) Daddy, I love you.... This went on and she said each one of these sayings about 20 times. So then Mike rolled over so he was facing away from her in hopes she would fall asleep. Then he feels little fingers start tickling his back. "Awww, Sweet Daddy" is what she says. Of course that made him laugh so he turned around for some more "Daddy I love you's."

If you need to get your housework done....

All you need is a couple of blankets and just tie 'em up. It is much easier than rope and they think it's pretty fun too! Until you walk away!!

Karlie's 3rd Birthday!!

Happy Thrid Birthday Karlie!!! This year all the cousins met at the park and had lunch and opened presents!! Mike's mom made Karlie the cutest cupcake cake! She loved it! We got lucky when her birthday landed on the one nice warm sunny day we've had this year!

Karlie loves her new hat!! I guess every kid has to have a picture like this!!

I guess it's time for a hair cut!

Okay, so I decided to highlight my own hair tonight. Fortunately that wasn't the biggest disaster of the night. I finished putting the dye on my hair and had some left over. So up walks Braden...who turned into my experiment. I just tossed the left over dye into his hair. He was so cute about it and so careful not to touch his head on anything while he waited for it to work. That is totally his personality coming out. He has been like that since he was very little, always very clean and careful. Totally opposite of Karlie. Messes just follow her around!

Well, I didn't get a very good picture of his hair after the fact but I can guarantee you that this is why I am a nurse, not a hair stylist! Good thing he is a boy and needs a hair cut anyway. I am just glad I didn't get a hold of Karlie or Hailie! Trust me, I was tempted!
